Plano Bridal Expo

By |January 7th, 2014|

Sunday was our first bridal show the year, and it was a phenomenal success! Unfortunately, Karen was still recovering and couldn’t be there to work the booth with me. She was very disappointed, so I called on my close friend and past client Sara to help me the day of the show. Sara did such a wonderful job, and I so enjoyed having her there. We have another bridal show coming up in two weeks, and I definitely plan on having her help out then too!

This was our first time to debut the new Look Book and Eco Album alongside our traditional Classic Album. We got a lot of positive response to the new books and pricing structure, which made all of the rush last week worth it. You can see one of the new albums below. I love the unusual horizontal format. It may not be the choice of every bride, but it was fun to get a sample and show off some different orientations.

Rather than offer a show special, we decided to give away 4 mini-engagement sessions at every hour of the show. Our lucky winners were Althea, Mindy, Kim, and Vanessa! We’re looking forward to working with each of these couples. The give-aways were such a success, Karen and I will be doing it again at the Dallas Bridal Expo (January 19th).

Now that we have a bit of a breather, I can finish editing the weddings we had over the Christmas holiday. They’re all so close, it’s just a matter of finishing up the reception images. Once I contact the couples for pick-up, I’ll be sure to make some posts about these great weddings.

Office Chaos

By |January 1st, 2014|

Our first post under “This Week at Moments”…horray! Who could imagine that the two weeks after Christmas could be complete chaos? I thought that the weeks leading up to the big holiday were bad.

For those of you who don’t already know, Karen had major surgery right in the middle of December. The doctor told her it would be four to six weeks in recovery. Being the optimistic people we are, Karen and I both believed him to be exaggerating […]

Happy 2014!

By |December 31st, 2013|

Welcoming in the New Year
Hey everyone! Another year has just flown by, and I can’t believe we’re already in January. Karen and I had a successful year in 2013, but we’re so excited to introduce some new changes to our business and our products. Our unofficial motto has been “provide excellent and unique photography that can appeal to all budgets.” Every year we learn more about what our couples want, which products appeal to them the most, and understand […]

Sing 2013 | Smash-Inspired Poster

By |April 2nd, 2013|

Our high-school company, Reflections Onsite Photography, worked with Plano Senior High School’s Music Corporation to shoot the poster image for their upcoming spring concert. We loved getting to use the back-stage of the theater as a backdrop for this Smash-inspired photo-shoot. All of the rigging, mesh, and cement walls played off their dressy red, grey, and black attire.

The finished poster has a real Hollywood flair! Let us know in the comments what you think.

Steven & Brooke | San Luis Resort

By |March 3rd, 2013|

The wedding this weekend was particularly special to us since the groom was my nephew! Steven and Brooke were married on the beautiful resort island of Galveston. The balmy weather, bright blue skies, palm trees, pristine white gazebo, and ocean vistas made a picturesque backdrop to their ceremony. The wedding was sweet and poignant, surrounded by close friends and family, and afterwards we all celebrated with them during their elegant dinner reception.

At the end of the day the […]

Steven & Brooke | Engagement

By |July 2nd, 2012|

We had a fabulous time planning and shooting Steven and Brooke’s vintage-themed engagement shoot. This sweet couple loved all of the antique props that we incorporated into their photos.

Michael & Stephanie | Robert Carr Chapel

By |June 23rd, 2012|

Michael & Stephanie chose the stunning Robert Carr Chapel on the grounds of TCU for their wedding ceremony. The gorgeous chapel with its vibrant red carpeting, white wooden pews, and elegant columns was an amazing backdrop for the ceremony. After their vows, we had a chance to shoot some wonderful images of the wedding party on the grounds of the chapel, and finished up with a private indoor shoot of the bride and groom. The reception was hosted at […]

James & Kelsi | Event 1013

By |June 10th, 2012|

It was so much fun to work James’ and Kelsi’s wedding at Event 1013 in Plano, TX! The venue was an awesome antique building in downtown Plano with exposed brick walls and rough wooden beams. Kelsi’s dress was a fabulous, short and flirty, vintage-inspired lace frock and she paired it with gorgeous ruby pumps and jewelry. This intimate wedding was attended by a close group of friends and family, and they made us feel like one of them!

Eric & Kristy | Noah’s

By |June 9th, 2012|

Eric and Kristy’s wedding was so sweet! The bride wore her mother’s wedding veil in honor of her memory. There were often sweet tears of joy and remembrance throughout the day. Beautiful yellow roses, crystal-studded daises, and status were the focal points in the bright florals of the day, set off with turquoise accents. It was a celebration full of love and laughter, and all of their guests danced enthusiastically to a fabulous live band. The evening ended with […]

Matthew & Sonia | Garland Event Center

By |June 9th, 2012|

This was such a fun wedding, with so many loving friends and family there to celebrate with the couple! The purple color scheme was perfectly executed, and we especially loved Sonia’s purple Converse shoes. Details of the day included a purple candy bar, hand-embroidered hankies with thank-you messages for both of the mothers, and vintage-inspired wedding rings. Their outdoor garden ceremony and glass-enclosed atrium reception venue made for beautiful wedding photographpy!
